During the course of a game of poker, a player may either raise his or her bet or fold his hand. The decision to fold or drop the hand is known as “folding” and is a way to end the game. It is not a sign of weakness, but it signals that a player does not wish to compete for the pot. Often, it is considered to be the easiest game to learn. But, there are exceptions to the rule.<\/p>\n
The dealer, in poker, is a casino employee or a player at the button position. The dealer can select the variants that apply to the hands. The first player has the privilege of making the first bet, and each player has the obligation to place a certain amount of chips into the pot. A player who places his chips into the pot is said to be an active player. A player who folds his or her hand loses all the money that was bet during the round.<\/p>\n
The final betting round is known as the showdown. During this phase, the players reveal their cards. The winner of the round is the player with the best five-card hand. During the showdown, the remaining players reveal their hands clockwise around the table. When all players have revealed their hands, the winner of the hand wins the pot.
